We take immense pride in shining the spotlight on Dr. P. Prathiba, a distinguished alumna of Vijayantha Senior Secondary School and Vijayantha Model Higher Secondary School. A school topper in both Class X (2001) and Class XII (2003), her academic brilliance paved the way for an inspiring medical career.

Dr. Prathiba pursued her MBBS at Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, followed by an MD in General Medicine from Government Vellore Medical College, and a DM in Nephrology from the prestigious Madras Medical College.

With over 13 years of dedicated service in the Tamil Nadu Government Health Services, she currently serves as Assistant Professor, Department of Nephrology at Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Chennai.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Prathiba made remarkable contributions at Stanley Medical College and was honored with the Outstanding Contribution in COVID Management Award at the 5th Annual Medical Excellence Awards (July 2021), presented by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Prathiba fondly credits her alma mater for instilling in her the values, discipline, and academic rigor that continue to guide her path in medicine.
