Mr. V. Nandakumar, a distinguished officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), currently serves as Commissioner of Income Tax, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. With nearly two decades of public service, his career reflects a commitment to tax administration, social welfare, and inclusive development.

Educational & Professional Journey An alumnus of Dr. Ambedkar Government Arts College and Madras Presidency College, Mr. Nandakumar began his career in administrative roles before joining the IRS in 2005. He has since held several key positions, specializing in Cyber Forensics Investigation and strategic enforcement. He is a recipient of the Best Audit Award from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
